£49.99

(Instructions are provided upon request) please go to the ”instructions page” for online instructions (we’re trying to save trees).

Here is our conversion body kit to take a TT120 B4 from the Branchline kit and convert it to a Class 02.

The Body is designed to accommodate Sound decoders, Stay alives a speaker and have functioning lights. The kit was built with the main aim of the modeller to be able to fit an AE stay alive, HM7000 decoder (N18 or 8TXS with sound), Speaker, Forward Lamps, Rear Lamps..

Contents/features include;

  • 1 x LED Forward buffer beam and 1 x LED Rear buffer beam with pre-installed resistors for easier wiring. (Solder from pads on LED buffers direct to Decoder).

  • 1 x Brass sheet (rails, handles and hooks).

  • 2 x Screws for B4 coupling sockets.

  • 4 x buffers

  • 1 x Window sheet

  • 1x Class 02 body (Unpainted)

The Class 02 body is secured to the B4 chassis using the 2 existing chassis clips. The chassis needs to be cut down with snips or a cutting disc. You will require various tools to make this kit, please have a look at the instructions to give yourself an idea of what is required here.

There is a build thread over on the Hornby forums so feel free to chime in and post your creation here, I love to see what people end up doing with the kits!

You will need your own wire (34awg) and paint/decals as this is an un-made, unpainted conversion kit.

Railtec do some decal sheets suitable for the shown livery in TT.

Wasp stripes - TT1243

Warning Flashes - TT1003

Data Plates - TT1031

BR Arrows - TT1200

As mentioned above I used 34AWG PTFE wire and it worked very well. this can be found at many online outlets, Aim for the multistrand type as it is much more flexible than single core.

I will try to add as many wiring diagrams I can to help make installs easier so if you need advice with your wiring just get in touch with me via the contacts page and I can draw something up and then add it here for others to see too.
