Here is our conversion body kit to take a TT120 J50 and convert it to a Pannier Loco.

The kit was built with the aim of the modeller to be able to fit an AE stay alive, HM7000 decoder (N18 with sound), Speaker, Forward Lamps, Rear Lamps, Firebox Flicker.

Contents/features include;

  • 1 x LED Warm White buffer and 1 x LED Red buffer beam with pre-installed resistors for easier wiring. (Solder from pads on LED buffers direct to Decoder).

  • LED Firebox Flicker PCB again with pre-installed resistor. Effect of flickering is done by adjusting CV values.

  • 1 x Brass sheet (rails and handles, Brake rodding etc).

  • 3 x Screws for brake rodding to chassis.

  • 4 x screws for buffers

  • 4 x buffers

  • 1 x Interior detail

  • 1x Pannier body

The body is secured to the J50 using the 2 existing J50 screws. You will require various tools to make this kit, please have a look at the instructions to give yourself an idea.

You will need your own wire and paint/decals as this is an un-made, unpainted conversion kit.

Railtec do some decal sheets for the pannier in TT. Check out the link below,

I used 34AWG PTFE wire and it worked very well.

I will try to add as many wiring diagrams I can to help make installs easier so if you need advice with your wiring just get in touch with me via the contacts page and I can draw something up and then add it here for others to see too.
